Composition Lessons
Composition Lessons
Compositions lessons are highly versatile and can adapt to whatever the student is interested in pursuing. Whether a student is looking to start from the beginning of their music writing process, or looking to refine a specific work, lessons can focus on any number of areas from broad, ongoing technical development, to more practical revision and proofreading.
As there is a great deal that goes into the act of composing, lessons often take a broad approach to the development of a composer's skills. Music theory plays an important role in lessons, as do studies of instrumentation, counterpoint, and repertoire. Students are also encouraged to bring their own interests to lessons, as the development of a composer's own voice is the most important goal.
Lessons are available for students of any age and at any level of mastery.
